Churchtown's Botanic Gardens are beautiful all year round and there's plenty to see and do. But pay them a visit in the spring to catch the flowers and bulbs emerging as the gardens burst into colour

For watery fun hire a boat on Southport's Marine Lake or take a ride on our very own Mississippi style paddle steamer - the Southport Belle. Also sailing, and rowing and boat hire services.
Tee off for fun
A guaranteed family favourite is our Crazy Golf course, practise your swing and see if you can beat the silly obstacles. For the more advanced, visit our Pitch and Putt golfing green - both situated near to the Marine Lake
Meander down our Pier
Take a stroll down our famous Pier or if you don't fancy the walk hop on board our unique Pier tram. It's the country's oldest surviving iron pier as well as being the second longest, as a Grade II listed building it's a superb piece of the town's heritage.
Get back to nature
The escape the summer sun, pay a visit to Formby Point and the Pinewoods. A great place to take in some fresh air and see the endagered species of Red Squirrels.
Fun at the fair
Thrill-seekers will love the white-knuckle rides and traditional attrqctions that Southport's amusement park has to offer. Situated just opposite Dunes Splash World near the Promenade
Shoppers Heaven
Lord Street has almost a mile of canopied shopping, with quality stores and Victorian arcades full of exclusive shops. The stroll through the town's gardens to newly pedestrianised Chapel Street where you'll find all your favourite high street names and brands.
Floral Resort
Southport's known for its floral displays in and around the town centre. Take an hour or two to soak up the beauty of the town's gardens and fountains and why not pay a visit to another of our charming outdoor spaces - Hesketh Park?
